Recorded with a zoom h4n onboard microphones, spur of the moment kind of thing. No checking for an optimal recording position, or levels. I just switched it on, opened the window fully and started recording. The batteries were running on empty so i quickly caught as much as i could.

The soundscape of a thunderstorm that passed over berlin in 2012, recorded from my backyard window with a little earplug stereo mic that a friend once made for me - a dummy head. The heavy rain was followed by thunder, then transforms into softer rain that lets you hear faint city sounds like cars, doors closing, someone using a screwdriver, voices, the bells of a nearby church, airplanes and birds. There's so much to hear, i couldn't stop recording. I only took out some little peaks caused by the movement of my ear.

Rain and thunder recorded from my balcony. Distant rumble, rain drops very close on the balcony reeling. Recorded with pro tools 11, komplete audio 6, akg 3000b.

Extended recording of a short thunderstorm - building, climaxing and waning - recorded under an awning at the studio using an mxl 990 on a boom.

This ambience was recorded on zoom h6 with msh-6 mid-side stereo mic capsule. Recording was edited and decoded. Mic was positioned right in a frame of an open window so that it won't get flood from a heavy rain and pick up much room reflections. My flat where i recorded from was on 4th floor. There was a busy street 50m far from the apartment building itself, a bit further there was a park. Rain at that night was heavy. Also you can hear several heavy thunder hits of various distance throughout the whole recording. Hope this recording will help to enhance the sound of your next project. Recording done on a rainy afternoon with the h4n zoomfree to use.

Recorded with an se5 cardioid condenser and a sound devices 633. Some multiband compression and then limiting applied with waves plugins.

Muffled, distorted sound of a thunderstorm, possibly recorded from inside a car. Some vibration noise from the body of the minidisc recorder i was using is also audible now and then.

Recorded last night at 3am during a big thunderstorm, you will find inside everything you can expect from this kind of atmosphere, with beautiful thunders. Recorded with an audio-technica bp4025 + zoom h6 48000kbps 24bits.

Recorded on september 5 at 1:00 am in monterrey, mexico, during tropical storm fernand. I made the recording while inside my house but with the door open. Recorded with a tascam dr-07mkii.

Class assignment. The goal is to create a sound based off of a rare/unique word. Word chosen: chrysalism n. The amniotic tranquility of being indoors during a thunderstorm, listening to waves of rain pattering against the roof like an argument upstairs, whose muffled words are unintelligible but whose crackling release of built-up tension you understand perfectly. .

Thunderstorm aftermath. Sounds of a thunderstorm about 10 minutes after it left the area. So low rumbles and rain dripping. The sound was recorded using a yamaha audiogram6 connected to a radioshack brand vocal microphone. Sampling was done at 44,100hz and the data was recorded using audacity. I recorded everything as a wav file and then uploaded it the same.

A passing storm in early spring recorded on my humble sansa mp3 player in woodstock, ny. A bit of fading in and out for a nice sounding loop is all that's been added. . . Relax and enjoy.

The wind and rain is whipping the plastic coverings of a construction site at one house, some things fall down from the scaffold. The rain becomes more and more heavy and loud, the raindrops beat down on the leaves of a chestnut tree and the plastic sheets. Nine minutes of a strong thunderstorm with heavy rain and frequent thunder, recorded on the back patio of my house. Recorded with an iphone 4, then converted to wav 48hz. The quality is pretty good. You don't hear any cars or other background noise, just lots of rain and thunder.

A strong thunder storm passes over the island of bermuda in the atlantic ocean at 4:00am. Ten thunderbolts of varying intensity can be heard against a backdrop of falling rain and singing treefrogs. Useful for tropical sounding rain storm. Recorded with my handheld tascam dr-05 linear pcm handheld stereo recorder as a 24-bit wav file in october 2021.

Really loud powerfull thunder sound recorded with a t. Bone sc140 stereoset in the mountains of madrid. It is clipped but it sunds nice.

This storm came thru this morning and i recorded it on my zoom h6 using the built in mics. There are some good rumbles of thunder in this recording.

Particularly scary sounding roll of thunder i captured ages ago.

This is a sound i created by using three different things. I recorded my bathroom fan and altered the pitch, added a few cents and overlayed them at 50%, and added a band-pass filter. I also recorded batteries rolling across the bottom of a drawer, lowered the pitch a bit, and added a high pass filter. And then lastly i added some wind that i created by blowing into my hands. That i did not adjust at all. It sounds just like a thunderstorm.

Strong rain recorded through an open windowdrops on roof and water dripping. Thunderclap. Then voices : an italian familly is entering home to escape the rain.
